But this is not related to the density of the grinding wheel, but rather to the contour wear during lateral grinding operations. The contact characteristics between the workpiece, grinding wheel, control wheel, and workpiece pad determine the stability of the machining. The elasticity of the grinding wheel affects the grinding force and cutting depth.

Control grinding wheel, also known as adjusting grinding wheel, is used to adjust the speed of the workpiece. It is a traditional grinding wheel, usually made of rubber bonded corundum or steel coated with hard alloy. The control wheel adjusts the speed of the workpiece through friction acceleration or deceleration. The shape of the control wheel is complex and can achieve linear support for the workpiece. The contour of the control wheel is influenced by the inclination angle of the control wheel, the center height of the workpiece, and the diameter of the workpiece. The new calculation model for controlling wheel profile can shorten the repair time and reduce wheel wear.
