The global superhard material industry is currently in a critical period of transformation and upgrading. Moving beyond its traditional role as an industrial consumable, diamond has been widely applied in strategic emerging industries including high-end semiconductors, precision thermal management, quantum sensing, aerospace, and biomedical engineering. Its industrial value and application scope have achieved comprehensive expansion.

In response to the national industrial development plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period and to keep pace with cutting-edge technological progress such as mass production of large-size single-crystal diamond, ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors, and domestically produced high-end thermal management materials, authoritative institutions will jointly launch the 2026 International Diamond and Related Materials Application Conference (DMA2026). Scheduled to take place in Zhengzhou, China, from November 24 to 26, 2026, the conference will gather international industry experts, technical professionals, enterprise representatives and global institutional partners to explore industrial opportunities and address key technical challenges.
Hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and co-organized by the Diamond and Products Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the Henan Mechanical Engineering Society, the conference boasts authoritative organizational support that guarantees high professionalism, industrial relevance and international influence.
The conference agenda covers a comprehensive range of industrial hotspots and core technical challenges across the entire superhard material industry chain. In the field of high-end intelligent equipment, discussions will focus on intelligent upgrading of cubic presses, MPCVD and HPHT diamond growth equipment, as well as precision processing and testing devices. A special thematic forum on intelligent industrial chain optimization for cubic presses will be held to promote collaborative research among upstream and downstream enterprises. The forum targets core equipment components, hydraulic systems, electronic control systems and key synthetic consumables, aiming to break technical bottlenecks, advance localization and intelligent upgrading of core equipment, and strengthen industrial chain stability.
In the thermal management sector, the conference will highlight high-performance materials such as diamond heat sinks, diamond/copper composites, diamond/aluminum composites, and GaN-on-diamond materials. It will focus on advanced heat dissipation solutions for AI chips, data centers, 5G/6G communication infrastructure, new energy vehicles, and laser power devices, with in-depth discussions on interface thermal resistance optimization, packaging integration and product reliability evaluation technologies.
The conference will also cover fundamental research and innovative applications of diamond materials, including crystal growth and doping technologies, semiconductor device development, quantum color center technology, nano-diamond films and powders, and advanced nano-carbon and ceramic materials. In terms of precision machining tools, topics will include PCD and PCBN cutting tools, diamond wire saws, and laser processing equipment, as well as their practical applications in aerospace, high-end automotive manufacturing and semiconductor precision machining. In addition, the preparation and post-processing technologies of large-size single-crystal diamond and centimeter-grade cubic boron nitride, together with their market trends and cutting-edge applications in optical windows, laser crystals, nuclear energy and extreme aerospace environments, will be thoroughly discussed.
