The 2024 Diamond Industry Conference Was Held in Zhengzhou

On November 8, 2024, the 2024 Diamond Industry Conference, hosted by the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government and the Henan Provincial Committee of the Jiusan Society, and organized by the Zhengzhou (National) High tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, Henan Superhard Materials Association, and the National Key Laboratory of High Performance Tools, was grandly opened at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. The theme of this conference is "Gathering the advantages of the industrial chain and cultivating new quality productivity", gathering multiple resources to form a panoramic pattern of "one meeting, one exhibition, one section, and two competitions", committed to creating a global platform for exchanging and displaying cutting-edge diamond technology, industry trends, and application achievements, and promoting the deep integration of government, industry, academia, research, and application.

In his speech at the conference, Hu Jun, Deputy Mayor of Zhengzhou City, stated that diamonds are known as the teeth of industry. Artificial diamonds look to China, Chinese diamonds look to Henan, and Henan diamonds look to Zhengzhou. Zhengzhou, as the birthplace, talent gathering area, science and technology innovation center, and industrial base of China's superhard materials industry, has a complete superhard materials and diamond industry chain, and has cultivated leading enterprises such as Sanmo, Zhengzhou Huajing, Sifangda, Zhongnan Jiete, and Zhengzhou Diamond. There are currently 122 enterprises on the superhard material chain, with an industrial scale of nearly 20 billion yuan. By 2023, the cultivated diamond production will account for more than one-third of the country's total, and the export value will exceed 2 billion yuan, ranking first in the country.

At the same time, Zhengzhou has gathered more than 70% of the mid to high end innovation resources in the superhard materials industry, with 7 national level research and development platforms in the superhard materials field. It has developed the world's leading high-temperature and high-pressure diamond growth technology and the most powerful chemical vapor deposition diamond growth technology in China. A centralized and complete industrial chain has been formed, including technology research and development, raw material and auxiliary material production, production equipment manufacturing, superhard material synthesis, superhard material products and applications. We will focus on building a "one core, three bases" superhard materials industrial park, actively promote collaborative development between upstream and downstream enterprises, and continuously promote the optimization and upgrading of the diamond industry chain.

In addition, a variety of activities were held during the conference, including the Diamond Cultivation Exhibition, Diamond Cultivation E-commerce Festival, and Diamond Cultivation Design Competition, providing participants with a comprehensive and multi-level platform for communication and cooperation. At the diamond cultivation exhibition, various types of areas were set up, including enterprise brand display area, diamond cultivation science education area, e-commerce live broadcast area, and diamond cultivation amusement park. Not only does it showcase China's strong strength in cultivating diamonds, but it also provides consumers with immersive and diverse travel and consumption experiences.
