Product Info:
Diamond grinding wheels sintered with metal alloys are commonly known as diamond wheels: the diamond containing part of the diamond wheel is called the working layer, and the working layer is mostly circular, so it is also called the working ring. The height of the working ring is called the working height, and the width of the working ring is called the ring width. The outer part of the ring width located on the outer diameter of the grinding wheel is called the outer ring, and the inner part is called the inner ring; The diameter of diamond particles is commonly known as particle size or mesh size. The circular edge of the working ring can come into contact with the glass twice. The working ring that comes into contact first is the front ring, and the part that comes into contact later is called the back ring. The width of the glass after cutting and grinding is commonly known as the machining allowance

Common problems and answers during the use of grinding wheels
Q1: After being ground by a double-sided machine, there are still defects such as edge chipping, corner dropping, and grinding wheel marks on the glass.
A1:
The selection of grinding wheel particle size is inappropriate or the performance is poor. The particle size should adapt to the requirements of the thickness range and processing speed of the processed glass. For example, if the first and second grinding wheels are equipped with 80 mesh 140 mesh grinding wheels, grinding 8mm to 25mm glass is good, but grinding 5-6mm glass may cause edge breakage. Generally, a 100 mesh 140 mesh grinding wheel should be selected to meet the requirements of 4-19mm glass. In addition, excessive allocation of grinding amount by grinding wheel 1 can cause small edge chipping. No.2 should be able to synchronously correct the edge chipping and completely cover the No.1 grinding mark. Often, No.2 is ignored and the selected performance is poor. Although it appears to be a problem with grinding wheel 1, it is actually necessary to replace high-performance No.2 wheel and readjust and allocate machining allowance reasonably.
Q2: The angle of the working end face of the grinding wheel is more outward inclined than the factory angle, with a significant increase in external low and internal high inclination, and even a stepped shape on the inner and outer sides.
Answer: The angle of the front and rear rings is not appropriate or the motor is loose, the workload on the outer side of the front ring is too large, and the rear ring is not working. It is necessary to adjust the motor angle and fix it in a timely manner.
Q3: The working end face of the grinding wheel is close to horizontal, and even the outer side is high and the inner side is low, resulting in the remaining 1/3 of the grinding wheel being unusable.
A3:
The angle of the front and rear rings is not appropriate or the motor is loose, the front outer side is not working, and the workload on the inner side of the rear ring is large. The motor angle should be adjusted and fixed in a timely manner, and the machining allowance for the front and rear rings should be reasonably allocated.
Q4: There are impact marks on the outer side of the grinding wheel, or there are circular indentations on the end face, shiny alloys, and other phenomena, which cannot be used anymore.
A4:
This phenomenon often occurs in chamfered wheels or grinding wheels with finer diamonds, such as No. 2 and No. 3. The reason is that when replacing a new grinding wheel or processing thick and thin glass with a large span, the forward and backward positions of the grinding wheel are not adjusted in a timely manner, causing the glass to directly impact the outer side of the grinding wheel, or the allocated processing amount is greatly beyond the bearing range of the grinding wheel, and the grinding wheel is not stopped and corrected in a timely manner. It is important to step back from the grinding wheel and gradually follow up on the grinding amount.
Q5: If there are still about 2mm deep teeth in the entire gear, it will collapse, commonly known as unable to grind and cannot be used anymore.
A5:
The depth of the water inlet groove of the full gear is 1.5mm, which is the height of the working layer. The inner side of the working ring of the grinding wheel is 1.5mm, and the remaining 1.5mm of the water outlet indicates that the working layer has been consumed. To prevent the remaining one-third of the grinding wheel from being consumed, due to the large machining allowance or the impact of the glass on the outer substrate of the grinding wheel when grinding thick glass, a 3mm high corner guard is designed on the outer side of the working side, so it appears that 4mm cannot be consumed completely on the outer side. However, the actual working layer has been completely consumed
