Scope of application:

The fused diamond knife used for relief carving is generally used for soft reliefs such as marble, bluestone, sandstone, granite, etc. It has advantages such as fast carving speed and good carving effect.

Choose blade shape:

There are three important dimensional parameters for a cutting tool: handle diameter, tip size, and blade length. For example, 12 turns 6X100 means a handle of 12MM, a tip of 6MM, and a cone blade length of 100MM.

Regarding handle diameter:

The selection of tool handle diameter mainly depends on choosing a reasonable blade body strength to prevent breakage. Each person carves stones with different hardness, carving depth, speed, and the structural rigidity of different carving machines, as well as the verticality of the spindle and other details, which can lead to different requirements for the strength of the tool handle. Generally speaking, the mainstream handle diameter for making reliefs is 8MM or more. For reliefs within 2cm, the preferred handle diameter is 8MM, while for reliefs over 2cm, the preferred handle diameter is 10MM. The engraving machine has good performance, and customers who run at high speeds can choose large-diameter tool holders as much as possible to meet high-speed requirements,

Regarding the blade tip:

Try to choose a model with a larger blade tip while meeting the requirements for carving accuracy. The larger the tip of the knife, the longer its lifespan. For example, if a 6MM large blade tip can meet the requirements of carving accuracy, it is advisable not to choose a 3MM or 4MM small blade tip. Regarding blade length: Depending on the flatness of the stone and the set carving depth, a blade length with a margin should be selected to prevent external grinding of the handle. For example, if the carving depth is 26MM, choose a blade length of 30MM. If the carving depth is 15MM, choose a blade length of 20MM.
