Guidelines for Choosing CNC router bits

For softer stones, it is recommended to use fused diamond milling cutters, while for granite, sintered diamond milling cutters are recommended

Regarding handle diameter

The selection of handle diameter depends on choosing a reasonable blade strength to prevent blade breakage. The hardness, depth, and speed of the carved stones vary, as well as the structural rigidity and spindle perpendicularity of the carving machine, which can lead to different requirements for the strength of the tool holder.

Choose blade shape

There are three important dimensional parameters for a cutting tool: handle diameter, tip size, and blade length. For example, 12 turns 6X100 means a handle of 12MM, a tip of 6MM, and a cone blade length of 100MM.

The spindle speed should not be too fast: it is recommended to set it at around 18000.
