Diamond Project Landing in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia

In recent years, Hohhot City in Inner Mongolia has actively developed strategic emerging industries and future industries, promoting the upgrading of traditional industries. According to the official WeChat account of Hohhot Investment Promotion Bureau, on February 15th, Hohhot Xincheng District and Shanghai Yuanshan Superhard Materials Co., Ltd. signed a construction framework agreement with a total investment of 2 billion yuan in Shanghai.

The company was established on December 23, 2022. It is a leading innovative enterprise in the research and development of wide bandgap semiconductor materials, equipment core processes, and the cultivation of diamond industrialization in China. It plans to build a modern ecological intelligent manufacturing factory integrating diamond (artificial diamond) research and development, manufacturing, business office, warehousing and logistics, and living facilities in the New City Science and Technology City. The factory will be used for the research and development of MPCVD equipment core processes and diamond materials, as well as the large-scale production and sales of cultivated diamond products. The first phase investment is 500 million yuan, and the second phase investment is 1.5 billion yuan. It is expected that the annual output value of the project will reach 2.5 billion yuan after it is put into operation.

 

On February 9th, the Hohhot Economic Development Zone Management Committee and Naxing (Ningbo) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the industrialization project of diamond thermal management materials.

 

The total investment of the diamond thermal management material industrialization project signed this time is 120 million yuan, of which the fixed assets investment is 100 million yuan. After the project reaches full production capacity, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 100 million yuan, an annual tax payment of about 7 million yuan, and drive local employment of about 40 people. The implementation of this project will further improve the layout of the Economic Development Zone in the semiconductor materials industry chain and enhance regional industrial competitiveness. ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
