At 9 o'clock in the morning, Shan Chongxin, Chairman of the Diamond and Products Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, and Yin Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Organization of the Henan Association for Science and Technology, delivered speeches successively. They emphasized that superhard materials have excellent performance in extreme environments and high-precision manufacturing, and are widely used in cutting-edge fields such as aerospace, semiconductor chips, new energy vehicles, and biomedicine. They are the key foundation for promoting technological and industrial development. The Chinese superhard materials industry has grown from scratch, from weak to strong, and has gone through more than 60 years of arduous and glorious development. The product quality and technological level have steadily improved, and some products have reached the international leading level. However, there are still gaps in high-end equipment, core technology, and international market discourse power, and the industry's independent development still faces challenges. The successful convening of this conference has provided an international exchange and cooperation platform for the industry. It is hoped that through international cooperation and technological innovation, we can overcome core technological challenges, accelerate the transformation and application of achievements, and promote the development of the diamond industry towards green, intelligent, and sustainable directions.

In the report section of the conference, Professor Wang Qinsheng, Honorary Chairman of the Diamond and Products Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, presented a report titled "Bottlenecks in the Development of China's Diamond Industry - Problems and Countermeasures in Industrial Development". Professor Wang pointed out that China's superhard industry occupies an important position in the world, with 90% of the global production of rough diamonds cultivated by high-temperature and high-pressure methods, and 80% of the national production capacity in Henan. However, in the industry chain of cultivating diamonds from rough stones to rough diamonds and then to finished diamonds, the processing of rough diamonds heavily relies on India, with 90% of rough diamond processing completed in India. This situation urgently needs to be changed. Only by solving the problems of bare diamond cutting, grinding, and polishing processes, and getting rid of dependence on India, can we truly open up the market space for cultivating the diamond industry in China.

Professor Wang Chengyong, Vice President of Guangdong University of Technology, has also drawn attention to his report on "Full Laser Processing of Diamond Parts and Medical Applications of Diamond". His team has developed nano diamond composite hydrogel (NDs-G), which combines the hardness of diamond with the biocompatibility of hydrogel, and has been successfully applied to wound repair and bone defect repair, providing a new repair scheme for the medical field. In terms of laser processing, Professor Wang Chengyong addresses the challenges of low polishing efficiency and high cost caused by the extremely high hardness of diamond. He uses laser processing technology instead of conventional CNC machining to achieve efficient, high-quality, high-precision, all laser green manufacturing of complex structural high-performance parts.

Cui Hailong, a researcher at the Institute of Mechanical Manufacturing Technology of China Academy of Engineering Physics, discussed in depth in his report "Manufacturing and Testing Technology of Ultra Precision Diamond Cutting Tools" how to accurately control the cutting edge contour accuracy and blunt radius of cutting tools through advanced manufacturing technology to meet the strict requirements of ultra precision machining for cutting tools. He focused on key cutting tool technologies in the field of ultra precision machining, achieved breakthroughs in key technologies through precise design and process optimization, and ultimately realized applications in aerospace, optical information and other fields.

The report on the successful application and sharing of international standards for nanodiamonds by Wang Songjuan, Deputy General Manager of Henan United Precision Materials Co., Ltd., provides an important reference for the development of industry standardization. Against the backdrop of increasingly fierce competition in the global superhard materials industry, the development of international standards is crucial. Wang Songjuan shared the application background, core content, and application process of the international standard for nanodiamonds. By promoting the establishment of the international standard for nanodiamonds, it will help enhance China's discourse power in the field of superhard materials and promote industrial standardization and international development.

Dong Hanjie, Assistant General Manager of Luoyang Bearing Group Co., Ltd., introduced the development overview of Luoyang bearings and the current application status of vehicle based grinding technology in the report "Outlook on Advanced Manufacturing Technology of Bearings and Application of Vehicle based Grinding Technology". And look forward to the application prospects of emerging technologies such as high-performance manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing in the fields of bearing manufacturing and superhard material processing, providing direction for the technological upgrading of industry enterprises.

Diamond Observation founder Zhu Guangyu's "Analysis of the International Development Trend of Cultivating Diamonds" comprehensively analyzes the current development status, competitive landscape, and future development trends of cultivating diamonds in the international market through various data charts. And it is proposed that with the increasing awareness of cultivated diamonds among consumers, the global cultivated diamond market will continue to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 8.6%. It is expected that the market size will reach 53.6 billion US dollars by 2033.

Altair technology expert Cai Tianshu brings a report on "Empowering Jewelry Design with AI Fusion's One Stop Simulation Design Platform". In the field of jewelry design, the application of AI technology is gradually changing traditional design patterns. The one-stop simulation design platform introduced by Li Zheng, with the help of AI technology, can achieve rapid modeling, virtual display, and optimization adjustment of jewelry design, greatly improving design efficiency and innovation capabilities. This not only provides a broader design space for cultivating the application of superhard materials such as diamonds in the jewelry field, but also helps to meet the personalized needs of consumers.

Researcher Yang Shengrong from China Academy of Machinery Engineering Development Technology Co., Ltd. gave a report on the application and equipment development of semiconductor thinning grinding technology. He elaborated on the overview of the semiconductor industry, packaging process requirements, thinning grinding processes and challenges, and the current status and development of thinning equipment. He pointed out that semiconductor grinding processes and equipment are accelerating towards ultra precision, composite, and intelligent directions, and their technological breakthroughs require deep integration of materials science, equipment engineering, and detection technology to support the continuous extension of Moore's Law and the demanding demand for advanced packaging.
