Certification & quality control
Diamond tooling is a consumable, so the only quality claim that matters is repeatability - the tenth set has to cut like the first. That is what these documents are for.
Our Quanzhou plant operates under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system covering incoming diamond and metal powder inspection, sintering parameters, welding strength and final dimensional checks. Certificate copy available on request with your quotation.
Batches can be submitted to SGS for independent verification of segment hardness, bond composition and dimensional tolerance. SGS inspection reports are supplied with shipment on request - useful when your customer asks for documented evidence, not a datasheet.
Every shoe is checked individually for segment height consistency and plate flatness before packing. Height mismatch inside a set is the main cause of vibration and swirl marks on site, so it is the one variable we do not leave to sampling.
Which bond do I need?
Get this wrong and you either glaze the shoes or burn through them in an afternoon. Read the floor, not the catalogue - then pick the row that matches.
| Floor condition | Indicative hardness | Bond to order | Start at |
|---|---|---|---|
| New / soft concrete, sandy surface, easy to scratch | Mohs 2–3 · under 2,500 psi | Hard / Extra hard | 30/40 |
| Typical cured slab, warehouse, retail | Mohs 3–5 · 3,000–4,000 psi | Medium | 30/40 |
| Old, dense, hard aggregate, river rock or slag | Mohs 5–6+ · 6,000 psi and up | Soft / Extra soft | 16/20 |
| Thick epoxy, glue, mastic, paint, membrane | - | PCD first, then metal | PCD → 16/20 |
Standard grit sequence
Skip a step and the scratch pattern never closes up - the resin pads end up doing work the metal shoes should have done.
Not sure where to start? Send a photo of the floor and your machine model - we'll come back with a grit ladder and bond recommendation, usually within one working day.
Why contractors switch to these
Six things that actually show up on site. Everything else is marketing.
Two hexagons, more bite
Double-hexagon geometry concentrates pressure on two narrow strips instead of one wide block, so the diamonds stay sharp and the machine keeps cutting instead of polishing.
Segment heights that match
Every shoe in a set is checked individually before packing. Mismatched heights are the number one cause of vibration and swirl marks - we take that variable out.
Bond tuned to your aggregate
Five bond grades, not two. Tell us the psi, the Mohs, or just send a photo - we'll ship the matrix that suits your local sand and stone, not a generic medium.
Redi Lock that actually locks
Slide-on fit with no play in the holder. A loose shoe chatters, wears the plate, and leaves a pattern you can't polish out. Ours seats flush.
Colour-coded grits
Optional colour coding on the plate so a crew grabs the right grit off the truck without reading a label in the dust.
Factory-direct, OEM welcome
Made in our own ISO 9001 plant in Quanzhou - we already build under other brands' labels. Your artwork, your carton, your segment spec, our tooling.
Common questions
The nine things buyers ask before the first order - answered the same way we answer them by email.
Yes. Our Redi Lock shoes fit the whole PG range: 280, 400, 450, 510, 530, 540, 680, 680RC, 690, 820 and 820RC.
A PG 820 takes 9 shoes - 3 heads × 3 shoes.
Running a different holder? Send us the model and we will confirm the fit, or supply the matching adapter plate.
On a typical cured slab, start at 30/40.
Go coarser (16/20) if you are cutting thick coating or chasing high spots. Go finer only after the surface is flat.
For thick epoxy, glue or mastic, run PCD shoes first - then step in at 16/20. PCD is for coatings, not for grinding concrete.
Double hexagon cuts faster and clears swarf better. It is the default for production grinding on medium to hard slabs.
Single hexagon puts more pressure on each segment, which helps on very hard, dense floors where double hexagons tend to skate.
Many crews keep one set of each and swap depending on the slab.
On medium-hard industrial concrete, expect roughly 5,000–15,000 sq ft per set of double-segment shoes at 30/40.
On warehouse-scale continuous work, plan 2,000–5,000 m² per set.
Hard aggregate or soft, green concrete moves that figure by about 50% either way. Judge tooling by cost per square foot, not price per set.
That is glazing. The bond is too hard for the floor, so the diamonds polish flat instead of fracturing and exposing new edges.
Fix it by dropping one grade softer, or by dressing the shoes on an abrasive surface for a few passes.
If they wore out in hours instead, the bond was too soft - go one grade harder.
Standard grits and bonds are held in stock, but quantities are limited - especially 30/40 and 60/80 in medium bond.
In-stock items are dispatched 5–7 days from order confirmation.
Please confirm availability before you commit to a site date. Custom bonds, segment geometries and private label runs take 2–3 weeks.
Our plant operates under ISO 9001 quality management.
Production batches can be submitted to SGS for independent testing of segment hardness and dimensional tolerance.
