A typical Sector(trapezoidal) Shape Diamond Grinding Shoes consists of two parts:

1  Sector Shape(Fan-shape)Trapezoidal Steel Base
Usually formed by stamping Q235 steel plate, the base features a trapezoidal or fan-like shape (narrower at the top and wider at the bottom). It includes either pre-drilled mounting holes (for bolt-on versions) or a standard locking mechanism (for quick-change versions) and serves as the structural foundation for the grinding segment. The surface is typically treated with anti-rust paint, with industry conventions using different colors to distinguish between grit sizes and bond grades.

2 Diamond Working Segment
Composed of synthetic diamond cutting abrasive and an iron-copper-based metal powder bond, this component is formed via high-temperature, high-pressure hot-press sintering and securely welded to the steel base using high-frequency brazing. Standard grinding units typically feature one to three segments; the dual-segment configuration is the most common in the market, offering a balance between cutting efficiency and grinding stability.

Bolt-on Trapezoidal Grinding Shoes
A classic, industry-standard model featuring a base with 2–3 standard mounting holes, designed to be bolted directly onto the grinding machine's disc. It is compatible with the vast majority of domestic and imported general-purpose floor grinders (such as ASL, CPS, Klindex, and EDCO). Offering excellent compatibility and low procurement costs, it is the preferred consumable for small-to-medium-scale flooring projects.

Grit Range:

Covers 6# to 220#;

• 16#–40# for coarse grinding/opening the surface,
• 50#–80# for intermediate grinding, 
• 100#–220# for fine grinding/pre-treatment.

Bond Hardness:

• Classified into five grades-extra-soft, soft, medium, hard, and extra-hard. Selection follows the principle of matching soft bonds with hard concrete and hard bonds with soft concrete; medium bond is the standard universal choice.

Segment Parameters:

• Standard effective segment height is 8–12 mm; replacement is required when worn down to 2–3 mm. Typically features 1–3 segments per grinding block; customizable upon request.
