Knife is a kind of tool used in many occasions in People's Daily life, it is also very rich in uses, just want to make it play a better function performance, it needs to become sharp. Diamond cutting tool is a kind of cutting tool made of diamond crystal. It has many advantages because of the excellent and benign raw materials. However, if we want to make it sharp, we also need to master the following methods.
1, manufacturing materials should have a high hardness, but also need to have a certain toughness, and the quality of the tool, depends on the effect of steel after heat treatment, excellent material with high hardness, small brittleness, higher resistance to wear.
2, in order to make the knife with crack resistance and reduce fatigue crack, improve the heat treatment hardenability of the tool, prevent the tool because of higher hardness lead to brittleness, to choose a very good material, with high efficiency vacuum heat treatment process, in order to improve the service life of the tool.
3. In this method, appropriate amount of micro-fine diamond powder and even finer silicon powder are added into NaOH solution, and the silicon powder is adsorbed on the diamond powder through strong electrostatic action, and then coated on the porous cast iron grinding disc for grinding diamond tools. The essence is that micro-fine silicon powder reacts with carbon atoms on the surface of diamond tools. The reaction layer is scraped off by micro-grinding of silicon powder. The grinding efficiency of this method is extremely low, about one atomic layer per minute.
4. In the processing of non-ferrous materials, the service life of the tool is a very troublesome problem. Because the life of the tool is determined by many factors, such as the difficultness of the material, the rationality of the tool design, the correctness of the tool material selection, the processing precision and the heat treatment process, are all important reasons affecting the quality of the tool.
5. Ion beam sputtering is a micromachining method that uses high-energy argon ions to bombardment carbon atoms on the surface of diamond tools to eliminate carbon atoms one by one. It is suitable for the processing of tiny diamond tools, and the surface roughness of diamond tools obtained is several nanometres.
