On September 8, the 4th Superhard Materials and Products Training Course of Henan University of Technology, sponsored by the School of Materials of Henan University of Technology, China Superhard Materials Network, Henan Moyue Industrial Design Co., Ltd., and Henan University of Technology High-tech Industry Technology Research Institute, was successfully opened at the School of Materials of Henan University of Technology. This training course aims to enhance the professional and technical level and innovation ability of superhard materials practitioners, strengthen exchanges and cooperation within the industry, and inject new vitality into the development of the superhard materials industry.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhao Zhiwei, Dean of the School of Materials, Henan University of Technology, warmly welcomed all the students and introduced the history, teaching philosophy and recent scientific research achievements of the School of Materials, Henan University of Technology. Dean Zhao Zhiwei pointed out that superhard materials and abrasives are the school's specialty. Since its establishment, the school has trained nearly 10,000 outstanding professional and technical talents for the superhard materials and abrasives industries, which has effectively promoted the healthy and innovative development of the industry. This training course will provide a good learning platform for the students. It is hoped that through the 7-day lectures and learning, everyone can gain something and make achievements in future work.

 

Professor Wang Qinsheng, chief expert of the National Torch Program Superhard Materials Industry Base, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Technological Progress and Major Trends in Industrial Development of Superhard Materials and Products". Focusing on themes such as superhard materials, superhard tools, diamond jewelry, functional components, and future prospects, he explained in detail the conceptual classification, development history, domestic and international development status, cutting-edge technological progress, development trends of cultured diamonds, and new carbon materials related to diamonds of superhard materials and products. He also placed high hopes on the development prospects of the superhard materials industry, and proposed suggestions for improving the superhard materials and products industry chain, such as strengthening the product link and increasing the proportion of high-end cutting tools and abrasives. Finally, he shared the recently released comprehensive industry book "Superhard Materials and Products", which is divided into upper, middle and lower volumes, with a total of more than 3.1 million words, and systematically reflects the latest achievements in theoretical research and production practice in the field of superhard materials and products.
