(1) Processing non-ferrous materials that are difficult to process.

Processing copper, zinc, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys, the material is easy to adhere to the tool, processing is difficult. Using diamond's low friction coefficient and low affinity with non-ferrous metals, diamond tools can effectively prevent the adhesion of metals to cutting tools. In addition, due to the large elastic modulus of diamond, the cutting edge deformation is small, and the extrusion deformation of non-ferrous metal is small, the cutting process can be completed under small deformation, so the machining surface quality can be improved.

(2) Processing of non-metallic materials that are difficult to process

When processing non-metallic materials containing a large number of high hardness particles, such as glass fiber reinforced plastics, silicon filler materials and rigid carbon fiber/epoxy resin composites, the hard points of the materials cause severe penetration of tools, and it is difficult to use carbide tools to process, while diamond tools have high hardness and wear resistance, so the processing efficiency is high.
