Diamond Tools At The 138th Canton Fair

The 2025 China International Hardware Exhibition has just come to an end, and the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will grandly open in Guangzhou on October 15th. The exhibition area of this year's Canton Fair reaches 1.55 million square meters. The total number of booths was 74600, with over 32000 exhibiting companies, all setting a new historical high. About 3600 companies made their debut.

 

It is worth noting that the lineup of high-quality enterprises at this year's Canton Fair has been significantly upgraded. For the first time, the number of high-quality enterprises with titles such as high-tech, specialized and innovative, and single champion has exceeded 10000, setting a new historical high and accounting for 34% of the total number of export exhibition enterprises. 353000 intelligent products will be exhibited on site.

 

From the theme of the exhibition area, this year's Canton Fair has set up a smart medical zone for the first time, attracting 47 companies including surgical robots, intelligent monitoring, and wearable devices to participate, better showcasing advanced products and technologies in China's medical field. The service robot zone has introduced 46 industry-leading enterprises, showcasing embodied intelligent robots, robotic dogs, etc., to cultivate new highlights in foreign trade development.

 

The scale of the new product launch event at this year's Canton Fair has further expanded, with over 600 sessions and a month on month increase of 37%. Among these newly launched products, 63% have applied innovative technologies, and nearly half have achieved functional upgrades. The application of green, low-carbon, and innovative materials accounts for a large proportion, fully demonstrating the innovative vitality of China's foreign trade.

 

According to pre registration information, it is expected that there will be over 400 top purchasing companies attending this conference. At present, 207000 purchasers from 217 export markets are pre registered, with a month on month increase of 14.1%. Among them, the purchasers from the EU, the United States and the "the Belt and Road" countries are growing significantly.

 

At this Canton Fair, diamond tool enterprises, whether they are large-scale enterprises or small and medium-sized enterprises, are driven by new products, new processes, and new technologies. Looking at the sustained and stable export of superhard materials in the city this year, they have benefited from the upgrading of intelligent manufacturing and quality development by a large number of manufacturing enterprises. At present, from the perspective of export market analysis, not only the EU market remains stable, but also the total export volume of South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and countries along the the Belt and Road is rising. Facts have proved that, although the United States has used tariffs to heavily suppress, its members have continued to expand into emerging markets and diversified their development efforts, with more methods, thus ensuring that the export market remains stable.

 

Indeed, as an important window for China's foreign trade exports, the Canton Fair has this unique advantage. However, based on past experience, most of the diamond tools at the Canton Fair still belong to the hardware or construction engineering fields, and the scope and quantity of diamond tool exhibits are mostly for civilian use.Most of the diamond tool manufacturers participating in the Canton Fair belong to the general field of tools, and the number of tools in the professional field is relatively small. To some extent, it lacks professionalism and industrialization. For users with high demands for professionalism and industrial characteristics, participating in exhibitions such as stone tool exhibitions, construction tool exhibitions, mechanical processing exhibitions, or abrasive tool exhibitions will attract more professional tool manufacturers.
