Greenlab is recognized as the largest laboratory grown diamond producer in India, and its production capacity will significantly increase after purchasing over 1100 new cultivation machines. The company currently has 1600 machines and produces 2.9 million carats of rough diamonds annually.
According to reports, the company purchased 105 high-tech planting machines from Israeli company Isrough and 1000 from Indian company Bhanderi Lab Grow. The company stated that they chose Isrrough's machines because they are capable of producing top-quality diamonds in D and E colors, and most of the diamonds produced have a clarity within the VVS range.
Greenlab sells polished diamonds through its US subsidiary Labon and has established a distribution partnership with Green Rocks in Florida.
It is understood that India is the world's second largest producer of laboratory grown diamonds, with a market share of 15%, but far behind China - laboratory grown diamonds produced in China account for about half of the world's production.
