1. Before using the new dresser, exit from the feed of the last dressing. Many brittle diamond dressing tools are prone to damage in initial contact with the grinding wheel.

2. Install the diamond dressing tool head at an Angle of 10-15°, so that it points in the direction of rotation of the grinding wheel.

3. Firmly install the dresser or clamp the dressing tool, and do not overhang the tool head for too long.

4. Use coolant whenever possible. Use coolant to pour the dressing tool in contact with the grinding wheel throughout the dressing time.

5. At the beginning of dressing, trim from the highest point of the grinding wheel, usually the middle of the grinding wheel.

6. Pay attention to minor corrections. Greater depth of trim, for rough trim: 0.001-0.002 in. For finishing: 0.0005-0.001 inches.

7. Select the appropriate lateral movement speed according to the relevant manual. The slower the lateral movement speed is (within the allowable range), the lower the surface roughness of the grinding wheel is obtained.

8. The grinding wheel must be dressed within the specified time interval to prevent the grinding wheel from becoming dull and increasing the grinding force.

9. Rotate the dressing tool in the knife holder 1/8 turns within the specified time interval to ensure that the dressing tool is always sharp.

10. When the diamond dresser or tool head becomes dull or significantly flat, it should be adjusted and replaced in time.

11. CARAT amount (pure diamond content) of diamond should be reasonably selected according to the diameter of grinding wheel. The larger the diameter of grinding wheel, the larger the CARAT value of diamond selected.
