Classification of diamond saw blades

Diamond saw blades can be divided into sintered diamond saw blades, welded diamond saw blades and plated diamond saw blades according to the process.

 

1. Sintered diamond saw blade: It is made by pressing and sintering in two ways: cold pressing and hot pressing.

2. Welding diamond saw blade: It is divided into three types: high-frequency laser welding and brazing. High-frequency welding welds the tool head and the matrix together through high-temperature melting medium. Laser welding combines the tool head with the contact edge of the matrix by melting it with a high temperature laser beam to form a metallurgical bond. Brazing is the process of flame spraying (oxygen-acetylene gun) in which the filler metal alloy (72%Ni, 14.4%Cr, 3.5%Fe, 3.5%Si, 3.35%B, 0.5%O2) is plated on the tool steel base and the diamond (uncoated) is laid on the solder layer. Then the diamond is inductively brazed for 30 seconds at 1080 C and under argon protection to achieve the bonding between the diamond and the steel base.

3. Electroplated diamond saw blade: It is to attach knife head powder to the substrate by electroplating method.
