For stone processing plants, the daily processing of stone generates a large amount of waste, including Scraps, Chips, And Sludge. If these waste materials are simply disposed of through landfill, it will not only occupy a large amount of land resources but also severely damage the ecological environment and disrupt the food chain balance near the landfill site, causing profound and irreparable damage to the local area.
In fact, these stone waste materials are excellent raw materials themselves. Through various comprehensive utilization projects, they can be fully reintegrated into our lives and put to good use.
Today, let's take a look at the various ways to transform stone waste into valuable resources.
This is the third article(10-13) about the applications of stone offcuts.

10. Used as a plastic additive
Calcium carbonate extracted from some types of stone, such as marble, can be used in the synthesis of plastics, waterproof roofing felt, etc.
11. Processing into household items
Scrap materials can be used to make lamp bases, desk calendar boards, pen holders, inkstones, paperweights, painted screens, and various door and table handles, resulting in elegant and beautiful products.

12. Used as Tailings-Based Compound Fertilizer or Soil Conditioner
Given that tailings contain a large number of effective components and have a fine particle size, which is conducive to vegetation growth and land reclamation, they can be modified and used as mineral compound fertilizers or soil conditioners to improve the soil environment and increase crop yields. In addition, the elements contained in tailings, such as Si, Zn, B, Fe, and P, are also essential elements for the growth and development of certain plants. Therefore, corresponding utilization measures can be adopted for different types of tailings. For example, calcium-containing mineral tailings can be used as a soil conditioner in acidic soils to modify the soil pH; calcium, magnesium, and silicon oxide-type tailings can be used as mineral compound fertilizers to calcify acidic soils. Furthermore, some tailings containing magnetite are inherently magnetic. If these tailings are added to the soil, they can activate the magnetic aggregate structure, thereby improving the soil structure, porosity, and permeability.
13. Railway Ballast
Crushed stone, such as granite chippings and other stone processing scraps, is an excellent material for railway ballast. Railway ballast consists of crushed stone used to support the railway sleepers in the railway transportation system, and is a common track bed structure. Before laying the tracks, a layer of crushed stone is laid on the roadbed and compacted, before the sleepers and rails are laid. Using ballast facilitates drainage and makes it easier to adjust the track position. Furthermore, because the ballast distributes the weight of the train and tracks across the roadbed, it reduces vibrations and noise caused by passing trains, thus increasing passenger comfort.
HuiceTools Company is a professional manufacturer of diamond tools, producing diamond tools for cutting, grinding, and drilling. Especially the saw blades used for cutting granite and marble grinding tools have excellent results. There has been very good feedback in both domestic and international markets.
