Diamond commonly known as "diamond". It is also known as the primitive form of diamond, which is a mineral composed of carbon, an allotrope of carbon. Diamonds are hard substances that occur naturally in nature. Diamond has many uses, such as arts and crafts, cutting tools in industry. Graphite can form synthetic diamond under high temperature and pressure. They are also precious stones.
Primary diamonds are found deep underground (130--180 km) at high temperatures (900--1300 C) and high pressures (45 -- 60) &215. Crystallized at 108Pa, they are mainly stored in kimberlite or potassium magnesium lamprophyre, which is quite old.
Kimberlite diamonds, such as Kimberlite mines in South Africa, were formed about 3.3 billion years ago, about the same age as the Earth. And potassium-magnesium lamprophyre diamonds, such as the Argyle mines in Australia and the Orab mines in Botswana, are young, at 1.58 billion and 990 million years old respectively. For diamond crystals buried so deep in the earth for millions of years to come to light, they must have helped volcanoes erupt, lava flows carry diamond-containing magma near the Earth's surface, or migrate long distances to settle in river sand. The former form primary tubular ore, while the latter form alluvial ore. Another type of diamond produced in outer space, space-impact "nanodiamonds", is also a pure single "carbon" property.
Scratch any two different minerals into each other, and one of them is bound to be damaged. There is a mineral, can scratch all other minerals, but no mineral can scratch it, this is diamond. It can be seen that diamond texture is very hard, is a good material to use.
